Krysten Minnici


Krysten is a 4th year graduate student in the Reichmanis Research Group. She was born in San Jose, CA and grew up in Harrisburg, PA. She received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. She also received a M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. While at Drexel University, Krysten's undergraduate research included electrospinning nanofibers for biosensor applications and studying loss of oxygen mechanisms in perovskite thin films. She completed her master's thesis on molten salts as heat transfer fluids for solar thermal power plants in Madrid, Spain and Milan, Italy while gallivanting around Europe for a year. At Georgia Tech, the focus of her work will be studying the structures and interfaces of battery electrode materials.
